Both companies have opted for experience with their recent appointments

Chris Bell, the former CEO of Ladbrokes, has been appointed Non-Executive Director of mobile games developer Gaming Realms.

Current Chairman of TechFinancials Inc. and XLMedia Plc, Bell’s gaming industry experience spans 25 years, and he joins the Gaming Realms board with immediate effect.

Since stepping down from his role at Ladbrokes in 2010, he has held a number of senior non-executive board positions, including with the Responsible Gaming Strategy Board.

Michael Buckley, Chairman of Gaming Realms, said: “We are delighted that Chris has agreed to join the Company.

“He brings a wealth of experience of the gaming industry and extensive corporate knowledge which will help us to develop the Company further.

“We welcome him and greatly look forward to working with him.”

Gaming Realms is a London-based company that develops, publishes and licenses next-generation mobile gaming content.

Meanwhile, online casino game platform Pragmatic Play has also strengthened its team, adding a number of experienced iGaming executives to its roster.

Joss Webster, formerly of LeoVegas, and Christopher Hedlund, ex-Junior Casino Manager at Mr Green, have both joined as Key Account Managers.

Matthijs Vogelenzang, former Sales Manager at Evolution Gaming, has taken up the role of Business Development Manager, while Wayne Fisher has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer (Europe), following a period as a Senior Key Account Manager at NetEnt.

Astrid Lehmann has also been promoted to the position of Senior Account Manager, having built up a wealth of experience in the iGaming industry through time spent with iSoftBet and Yggdrasil Gaming.

Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer at Pragmatic Play, told TotallyGaming.com: “Building an excellent team with the ability to help improve and expand on both our range of games and global presence is an important objective for us, and our commercial strength has been underlined with the appointment and promotion of such an accomplished group of iGaming executives.

“The wealth of hands-on experience we have on our team will be a huge advantage as we continue to deliver on our impressive selection of games.”

Pragmatic Play is one of the fastest growing mobile and desktop providers of digital casino games for the online gaming industry.

Totally Gaming says: Both Gaming Realms and Pragmatic Play have prioritised experience with their recent recruitment drives. Gaming Realms’ appointment of former Ladbrokes CEO Chris Bell is a particularly shrewd piece of business, given Bell’s vast experience in non-executive positions. Meanwhile Pragmatic has handpicked executives from some of the most recognisable names in iGaming, a move that looks similarly astute.
