Darion Lowenstein: ‘Doodle Jump’s massive fan base will love to play and win money on this classic hit in a casino’

Doodle Jump, the iconic video game with more than 250 million lifetime downloads, will soon hit casino floors around the world, following a new partnership between the game’s developer, Lima Sky, and Gamblit Gaming.

The partnership will see Los Angeles-based Gamblit – a leading producer of real-money and skill-based gaming for land-based casinos – gamblify the classic title and turn it into an innovative casino experience.

Doodle Jump originally launched in 2009 and has been released across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, Arcades, Windows, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS.

The real-money version of Doodle Jump is due to hit casino floors in early 2018 on Gamblit’s TriStation game machine and G-Sports platform. And according to Gamblit’s chief marketing officer, Darion Lowenstein, the company will work “very closely” with Lima Sky during the casino product’s development.

“It’s imperative to us as a company that we not only retain the magic of why the game built up so many fans, but also ensure it’s a game everyone is proud of,” Lowenstein told TotallyGaming.com. “The gamblification is basically a layer added on top of the original game – not a brand slap.

“When a game has as many downloads as Doodle Jump – more than 250 million – and has been in everything from phones to arcades, it’s safe to say that it appeals to everyone. Doodle Jump’s massive fan base will love to play and win money on this classic hit in a casino, and we are very proud to partner with Lima Sky.”

Totally Gaming says: With more than 250 million lifetime downloads, Doodle Jump’s global popularity is up there with the likes of Angry Birds and Candy Crush. From mobile to arcades, the game has already proved its cross-platform mettle, and its latest brand extension with Gamblit is sure to see this success replicated on the casino floor.
