Zitro’s World of Bingo reaches user milestone

Celebrating its third anniversary this year, World of Bingo, Zitro Interactive’s flagship social casino, has just hit the two million user mark.

The popular social gaming platform was launched on Facebook in May 2014, followed by standalone apps on Android and iOS devices.

Since the launch of World of Bingo, Zitro has continued to develop a wide range of new games for the free-to-play platform. In 2016, the Spanish company upgraded the social gaming solution to HTML5.

“Thanks to World of Bingo, Zitro games are played in 194 countries around the world with an extensive offering that increases every day to satisfy now more than two million users,” the company said earlier this week.

Discussing the user milestone, Zitro president Johnny Ortiz said: “When consumers have the choice between thousands of competitive applications that offer entertainment through social networks, we are very proud that World of Bingo has managed to surpass the figure of two million users.

“At Zitro we are convinced that, in order to keep growing, we must ensure our presence in the land-based, online and social distribution channels, treating each one of them with its own specificity, but striving for cohesion and mutual support between these channels, seeking what in Zitro we call the Triple Convergence.”

Sebastián Salat, Zitro CEO, added: “World of Bingo, being a social application, allows us to be in direct contact with the players, learn from their tastes and preferences, and connect emotionally with the younger generations.

“Other Zitro mobile apps, such as Buscapremios, serve to support land-based operations, announcing to players the arrival of new games or events and promotions in the gaming halls. The news comes as Zitro, which celebrates its 10th year of operation in 2017, continues to make headway into key online growth markets across Latin America.

In April, the company announced it had launched a range of bingo games on Big Bola’s online platform in Mexico.

The company’s popular range of video bingo games can now be played on BigBolaCasino.mx, which is operated by the established Mexican land-based operator.

“Classics such as Last Bingo in Paris, Powermania and Tacomania haven proven their performance in land-based casinos, as well as in online casinos,” Ortiz told TotallyGaming.com. “We are also working on releasing more recent hits like X-treme, Top 3 and Hot Dice.
