GSN Games India studio is responsible for the successful social title Bingo Bash

Social casino games developer GSN Games has opened a new studio in the Indian city of Bangalore as part of a move to bolster its regional division in the country.

Founded in 2010 as Bash Gaming and acquired by GSN in 2014, the GSN Games India studio is responsible for social title ‘Bingo Bash’, which remains one of the highest grossing mobile games ever developed in India.

The Bangalore facility will enable GSN Games India to continue working on new titles, with the capacity to support more than 500 employees.

The new site will also play a major role in building a technology environment to help power the global GSN Games operation directly from Bangalore.

As part of the expansion project, GSN said it is actively recruiting for over 75 positions across engineering, quality assurance, product management, analytics and art.

Arun Dutta, country manager of GSN Games India, said: “The new GSN Games India office represents our commitment to growing our studio by recruiting top talent to lead game development and product management for GSN Games.

“We are one of the only studios from leading western game developers that drive game development from start to finish in India, as the GSN global team looks to India for game creation rather than simple execution.”

TotallyGaming.com says: "With 200m mobile users set to download 9bn apps this year, it's not surprising that social gaming companies are targeting India as a major area of growth."
