Spingol has described virtual sports as the perfect complement to sports betting

South American betting operator Spingol has described virtual sports as the perfect complement to sports betting in the newly regulated Colombian market.

Licenced in Missiones, north east Argentina, Spin Entertainment and its consumer-facing brand Spingol work across Latin America, with the latter also being an Official Sponsor of the Copa America football tournament.

But it is in Colombia where the firm is making most of its investment. Spingol CEO Juan Machinandiarena told TotallyGaming.com: “The Colombian betting market is the first regulated market in South America which makes it very attractive as a starting point for operations. In addition, Virtual Sports Betting has also been regulated and is the perfect complementary product for Live Sports Betting, increasing betting revenues at a minimum investment cost.”

To support this Spingol has just signed a deal to include Global Bet’s virtual products into its portfolio. The agreement will see Global Bet´s full product range of Virtual Sports and Number Games integrated into Spingol´s platform and will be available in all the markets where the company operates.

Machinandiarena added: “We are very excited about this partnership with Global Bet. Innovation and quality is what we´re known for and teaming up with Global Bet, who have a wealth of international experience, is of great importance to Spingol.

“This decision was a strategic one, as partnering with Global Bet will enable a comprehensive combination of our respective platforms to provider a greater provision of modern products to Spingol customers.”

With Colombia the first regulated market in South America, and other neighbouring countries potentially following soon, Global Bet´s CEO Daniel Grabher, sees even more potential in the market. He explained: “This partnership between Spingol and Global Bet has enabled us together to position ourselves as a leading player across this emerging continent, providing the best and most comprehensive Sports Betting website in Latin America.”

Totally Gaming Says: Colombia could well be a jumping off point for the rest of the continent to move into online gambling. Brazil once again is in talks about allowing online gambling and if the neighbours perceive that to be a success than more usually follows.
