Customers set be migrated to Unibet over the coming months

Kindred Group is set to drop the Stan James name and focus its UK market activity through Unibet.

A full migration of all the brands customers to the Unibet platform is to be undertaken in due course, while Stan James’ sponsorship's will also be passed over.

A spokesman for Kindred Group told TotallyGaming.com: “Over the coming months we will migrate Stan James customers to the Unibet brand platform, giving them access to a first-class betting platform and product range along with exciting new innovations and a great customer experience.

“During this time a number of race sponsorships, such as the eight Road to Cheltenham series of races that starts with Wincanton’s Unibet Elite hurdle and culminates with the Unibet Champion hurdle at Cheltenham next year, will be run.

“It makes sense from a marketing and commercial perspective to align the brand sponsorship throughout this period, which begins in November and ends in March.“

Kindred, who earlier this year announced the acquisition of 32Red, bought the online gambling business of Stan James Group two years ago for £19m.

This latest news regarding Unibet, which offer online casino games and sports betting, follows the recent announcement that it has agreed a three deal to be the title sponsor of the Professional Darts Corporation’s (PDC) Premier League from 2018.

Totally Gaming says: Kindred have been increasing their market presence in the United Kingdom for some time, and this decision to migrate Stan James player’s back to its flagship Unibet brand is the latest step.
