Ladbrokes Coral to be among the first to appear within commercial ad breaks

At The Races (ATR), the UK’s most watched dedicated horse racing channel, has announced that it is to permit betting and gaming brands to advertise on its service for the first time.

Joe Andrews, commercial manager for ATR, told TotallyGaming.com:  “We are constantly talking to our partners to ensure we are doing what’s best for them and this adds to, and broadens, the marketing opportunity that ATR can offer advertisers.

“It (also) allows clients to extend their marketing message beyond those available through programme sponsorship.”

The Sky and Arena Racing Company owned TV channel has also announced a new long term partnership with Ladbrokes Coral, a move which will see the bookmaker become one of the first betting brands to appear within the commercial ad breaks.

Alexis Zamboglou, Ladbrokes Coral Director of Marketing, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for us to reach a very targeted audience.

“At The Races is synonymous with horse racing and importantly, with betting. Its coverage not only contains live sporting events that are vital to our sportsbook, but is delivered in a manner that revolves around the punter.”

Previously the channel, which broadcasts live racing 363 days a year from the UK and Ireland, had only hosted betting brands within its programme sponsorship, however, a new dedicated sales team is now in place offering TV airtime during advertising breaks to its clients in the gaming and betting sector.
