Tempobet CEO described the World Cup as a 'great opportunity'

Tempobet CEO Tim Peters is hoping that the work that his company has put in to expanding its football sponsorship portfolio will pay dividends during the World Cup in Russia.

The operator recently announced that it had agreed a multi-million pound sponsorship deal to showcase its brand on the LED advertising boards at seven Premier League football stadiums.

The deal means that Tempobet, which already features pitch-side at The Emirates Stadium, will now also be promoted at home games involving Brighton, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Swansea, and Watford.

This move further strengthens an already expansive football sponsorship portfolio. Tempobet also holds the position of primary sponsor to Championship clubs Burton Albion and Preston North End.

Speaking about his company's strategy ahead of next summer’s World Cup, Tempobet CEO Tim Peters told TotallyGaming.com: “I wouldn’t want to show our hand too soon, but we will have plenty to offer customers come the summer. It’s obviously a great opportunity for us as a company and I’m very hopeful the hard yards we’re putting in with our sponsorship portfolio during the domestic season leading up to the World Cup will pay dividends.”

Commenting on football partnerships as a sponsorship asset, Peters said: “Football remains the biggest show in town and it’s hugely beneficial to a company like Tempobet. We’re active in other sports too, but football provides us with a great vehicle to raise our brand awareness in countries around the globe.”

Totally Gaming says: Given the direct crossover between the target market for football clubs and betting brands, the move to build a strong portfolio of football sponsorship deals is a shrewd one when it comes to building the trust and profile of a betting operator. With the World Cup on the horizon, Tempobet’s strong branding in British football stands them in good stead to grow its customer base during the tournament.
