RakeTech completed the double acquisition of BetXpert and Turtle Gaming

Malta-based RakeTech Group is the latest industry affiliate marketing stakeholder to expand its services and operations through M&A.

Last week, RakeTech CEO Michael Holmberg confirmed that his company had completed the double acquisition of sports betting software supplier BetXpert and Finnish affiliate network Turtle Gaming.

Updating the media, Holmberg detailed that the acquisition of BetXpert would improve RakeTech online marketing dynamics via the integration of BetXpert content and live-score solutions.

Meanwhile, its further acquisition of Turtle Gaming will boost the firm’s position within the highly competitive Scandinavian affiliate market, as Turtle Gaming operates high-coverage affiliates portals including leading Finnish websites TurtleBet.com and Nettikasinot.Casino.

Holmberg told TotallyGaming.com: "The recent acquisitions of BetXpert.com and Turtle Gaming will further enhance RakeTech's position in both Denmark and Finland. We are very well established in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and will continue to acquire suitable Nordic affiliates when the right opportunities arise.

“A key emphasis of ours is to grow across the whole of Europe. We are targeting countries where we have a very good understanding of the local market, for example United Kingdom & Ireland, which has similarities in consumer behaviour with the Nordic iGaming industry."

Totally Gaming says: Consolidation within industry affiliate marketing has been a key theme in 2017. Any performing acquisition channel or website portal is now attractive to bigger affiliate gaming networks such as XL Media, GIG or Catena Media.
