Digital Sports Tech takes ‘global product’ into new markets

Player Props has been launched in Latin America and Russia

Digital Sports Tech Director Ari Lewski sees Player Props as a ‘global product’, and expects the company’s player proposition betting tool to move into more new markets in 2017.

Over the last week, Caliente became the first operator in Latin America to launch the product, while Digital Sports Tech also entered another new market by agreeing to supply Player Props to Fonbet, the largest sportsbook operator in Russia.

Lewski told TotallyGaming.com: “We see Player Props as a global product. In just six months we’ve signed deals with tier one operators in the UK, Australia, Mexico and Russia. We are already in advanced discussions with several other operators in different jurisdictions around the world, so we will be moving into more new markets in 2017.

“Player proposition betting is a huge growth area all over the world. For starters, the existing offering is extremely limited with a minimal variety of betting options available to punters. Moreover, we have witnessed exponential growth in the appetite and consumption of player statistics by fans over recent years. This has led to the players themselves, in many cases, becoming bigger brands than the teams they play for.”

Player Props allows users to create and customise their own bets on player performance in real time, across a range of sports including football, American football, basketball and rugby league. For example, there are more than 1.3 million unique markets available to create for individual moments within a single round of Premier League matches.

Lewski continued: “Football is the number one betting sport in the world and there are hundreds of thousands of bets that users can place on the English Premier League. But Player Props is also very well suited to US sports, which are so heavily focused on stats, as sport bettors can place bets on a wide variety of player statistical performances.”

Totally Gaming says: Player Props is a unique product which allows customers to personalise their own bets on statistical performance, for example shots on goal or tackles made. Digital Sports Tech has capitalised on the growth in consumption of player statistics, and looks set for a busy year with launches in different jurisdictions around the world.
