SIS has signed a five-year deal with the Spanish bookmaker

Live data supplier Sports Information Services (SIS) has signed a five-year deal to provide Codere with its new and improved SIS greyhound service.

SIS has boosted its international reach with the agreement, as Codere holds a strong footing in a growing Spanish retail market in which “greyhounds feature prominently” across bookmaker shops and SSBTs in bars.

The new service, which includes the provision of live pictures, commentary and data for horses and greyhounds across Codere’s entire retail estate, has been developed by SIS in conjunction with race tracks and bookmakers to meet the market’s growing expectations.

Paul Witten, product director at SIS, told TotallyGaming.com: “Greyhound racing is a key part of the product mix in Spain since the market first regulated there.

“Greyhound racing is suitable for all channels as it’s easy to understand live content that delivers in retail and online. The Spanish retail market is composed of shops, corners, and SSBTs in bars, with greyhounds featuring prominently in all areas, and SIS can deliver suitable content for each.

“The popularity of greyhound racing is growing at a pace, not only in Spain but across the globe right now. Many global operators are appreciating the premium product and content we offer, which provides them with significant revenues and profits.

“Our new service builds on the 30 years’ experience SIS has in the betting industry, delivering a solution which meets operators needs and creates more betting opportunities than ever before.”

Totally Gaming says: SIS has created a new service to reflect the increased popularity of greyhounds across the globe. It provides operators such as Codere with better quality racing and scheduling, along with live pictures, commentary and data. All UK licensed betting offices (LBOs) will take the new service from 1st January 2018.
